These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the NeedATaxi.co.uk website (www.needataxi.co.uk) and mobile app (the “Service”), operated by IP Block Ltd (company number 17091535), of 10 Prince Alfred Avenue, Skegness, PE25 2UH, United Kingdom. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

NeedATaxi.co.uk is an information directory of taxi and private hire companies in the UK. Listings are compiled from public sources and from information supplied by the companies themselves, and are provided for general information only.

2. We are not a taxi operator

We do not provide transport, book taxis, or act as an agent for any taxi or private hire company.
Any booking or contract for transport is made directly between you and the taxi company. We are not a party to it.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a company is appropriately licensed and suitable before you travel.

3. Accuracy of listings

We work to keep listings accurate but we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current, or error-free, including phone numbers, availability, licensing status, opening hours or pricing. Details can change without our knowledge. If you spot an error, please tell us at [email protected].

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
copy, scrape, harvest or systematically extract listings or data except as expressly permitted;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or damage the Service or its security;
submit false, misleading or infringing information; or
use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.

5. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

6. Taxi companies and paid plans

Claiming and maintaining a basic listing is free.
We offer paid plans (currently Verified and Featured) billed annually. Prices are shown before you subscribe and may be subject to tax.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled before the renewal date; you can manage or cancel from your account.
Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Your statutory rights are not affected.
If you submit a listing you confirm you are authorised to do so and that the information is accurate. We may edit, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion, for example if it is inaccurate, unlawful or breaches these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics and logos, is owned by or licensed to IP Block Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a licence to host and display it as part of the Service.

8. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites (such as a taxi company’s own site). We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the Service’s accuracy, reliability or availability, and we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, service quality or conduct of any taxi or private hire company listed.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your dealings with any taxi company. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

11. Indemnity (business users)

If you use the Service as a business (for example to advertise a listing), you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your listing or your breach of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
